We bought our house in 2019 & noticed our driveway looked “funky”. In 2021, a sink hole happened around the bottom part of our driveway close to our garage. Our driveway is on a slope & water was pooling in 1 spot. The previous paver didn’t pitch it correctly, as well as used junk fill under the asphalt. Hicks tore up our entire driveway, pulled out a huge tree stump where the sink hole was as well as an enormous boulder at another part of the driveway. They then laid quality fill before paving. When finished, they gave me a demonstration on how the water will now move instead of pool at the bottom. The finish product looks amazing. Their communication was amazing. Sam Hicks paving did a beautiful job on our driveway, and even went above and beyond flattening a dirt pile next to the driveway that had formed during initial construction of our house. They were also careful to avoid the trim around our garage doors. Everything was explained to me and I was left with recommendations for maintenance and drainage around the driveway. Super friendly, really pleased with the service.

While the job isn't finished yet, Steve and his crew have been excellent to work with so far! They were quick and efficient in taking up the old driveway and preparing it for the asphalt. They were also very accommodating for some big rocks I was running into while digging a trench along side of the driveway. Steve quickly agreed to help me take them out and move them to our woods so they were out of the way. My kids ask a lot of questions and it was nice to see he and his crew answer their questions with kindness. Looking forward to seeing the paving start tomorrow!

From the estimate till the job was completed, Steve and his crew were professional and personable. Watching them work was very impressive as they tackled underground cable and electric lines so carefully, they worked like machines in 90 degree plus heat and even through a thunderstorm. We were very pleased with their work and highly recommend them. Thanks for a great job Steve!
